GATE and Non-GATE Admission Rules

Non-GATE candidates can apply for eligible M.Tech programmes, but they are considered only after GATE candidates and only if seats remain vacant. DTU clearly states that non-GATE admission is not available for programmes offered by the CSE, IT and Software Engineering departments.

- Non-GATE candidates must appear in the DTU admission test if shortlisted.
- If all seats in a programme are filled by GATE candidates, no non-GATE admission will be conducted for that programme.
- The university decision on seat allotment and admission matters is final.
